Andreas Pilekjær

Andreas Pilekjær (b. 1985) was born on the west coast of Fyn and raised in Odense. He was a student at Brandbjerg Folk High School in 2007, and subsequently, he studied theology at Aarhus University between 2007-14. He has resided in Germany and Israel where he has undertaken extended study stays at Eberhard-Karls University in Tübingen and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Alongside his studies in Aarhus, Andreas has been involved in both Grundtvig Forum and the Grundtvigian association Studenterkredsen where he felt at home in the intersection between society, theology, and aesthetics, accompanied by folk high school songs and the considerable openness.

He is passionate about theology in all its breadth, and his theological background is evident when discussing society, politics, or literature, which he is equally passionate about.

Aside from books, he greatly enjoys music, but in his free time, he can just as easily be found by streams and coasts with a fishing rod in hand. He also played basketball for several years and still enjoys a game whenever the opportunity arises.
