Hebrew

Hebrew is an approximately 3000-year-old language, which is still alive and kicking. It is read from right to left and belongs to the same family of languages as fx. Arabic. It doesn´t sound like any other language, looks exotic and has over the course of its long life picked up slang, expressions and apothegms from just about all the countries and cultures, in which Hebrew has accompanied the Jewish people through their history.

The class introduces basic Hebrew language, oral and written, as well as the Jewish history and culture, religion and history without which one cannot fully comprehend Europe.

Hebrew is a story in itself – join the conversation!
