Chess and boardgames

Every Wednesday, the teacher on duty offers the chance to try one of the oldest and most popular board games in the world: chess! Here, it is possible to participate, whether you are a novice, an intermediate player, or have advanced abilities in the game of chess. Here, you get the chance to talk a bit about good chess principles, and maybe a bit about openings as well, but the focus is on playing this amazing game.

We are very fond of board games here at the folk high school! We are very fortunate that the student lounge, Folkvang, offers many different games. Our selection includes everything from Werewolf and Hint to Skip-bo and Settlers. On Wednesday, we give our students the opportunity to play different board games together. We get ourselves some coffee and some cake and try out different games. You can perhaps also use the opportunity to talk to someone, you haven’t had the chance to get to know so well yet.
