When you sign up, you will see the full price, which includes all expenses for your stay at Rønshoved Højskole. The price covers classes, food, accomodation, materials and study trip(s). The study trip includes travel, hotel, and activities. You pay for your own meals on study trips.

A weekly discount of 300 DKK on your stay.
Accommodation in a double room shared with another student and with bathroom in the hallway.
Active participation: Like any other student, we require active participation in the school community as well as in the classes.
Duration: The scholarship is valid for stays of at least 4 months.
Early Departure: If you choose to leave the course early, the scholarship will be forfeited.
First-come, first-served: Scholarships are granted continuously.

We do not refund your enrollment fee, 3050 kr. However, depending on when you cancel your stay, you will be refunded some of your payment.
More than 4 weeks before starting date: We keep only the registration fee.
Less than 4 weeks before starting date: We keep payment for 4 weeks + the price of the first study trip.
If you choose to abort your stay and have already started, you will have to pay for the weeks you attended plus four weeks and the first following study trip. If you total stay has been less than 12 weeks, you will be billed at that rate (3450/week). If a stay of minimum 37 weeks gets shorther than 37 weeks due to aborting your stay, you pay the price difference of DKK 400/week for stay shorter than 37 weeks.
Specific room types cannot be guaranteed on educational tours. A single room supplement will be charged.
Enrollment Fee
The enrollment fee must be paid for the registration to be valid.
Cancellation and Interrupted Stay
In case of cancellation or an interrupted stay before 10 July 2026, the full amount will be refunded except for the enrollment fee and any bank transfer fees related to international transfers.
In case of cancellation or an interrupted stay after 9 July 2026, the following costs will be charged: the enrollment fee, the study trip, tuition fees for four weeks and additional fees if you have chosen a room with private bathroom and toilet
In addition, any bank transfer fees related to international transfers will be charged.
Please note: Tuition fees are differentiated depending on whether the stay is shorter or longer than 37 weeks. This applies even if the first installment has not yet been paid.
The actual cost of the study trip is DKK 31,873.00.
In case of cancellation or interrupted stay after 9 July 2026, you are also liable for these actual costs.
If the study trip place can be transferred to another student before 1 September 2026, you will not be liable for the actual trip costs, but only for the study trip tuition fee of DKK 5,500.
In each case, we will investigate which reservations we may cancel without cost. Any savings achieved will naturally benefit you.
If the study trip place can be transferred to another student before 1 September 2026, and if you have been eligible for mentor support, pit stop discount, individual discount, the Mangfoldighedsstipendiet, the Ungeløft Stipendiet, Student Association Support, the World Scholarship, or the Eastern European Scholarship, all support will lapse, and the above cancellation terms will apply.
If the stay is shortened to less than 12 weeks due to early departure, you will be liable for the difference between the government subsidy rate for a 12-week stay and the subsidy rate for stays between 2 and 12 weeks.
For cancellation or interrupted stay from 1 September to 18 October 2026 (inclusive), the above terms apply.
Study trip places cannot be transferred to another person after 1 September 2026.
For cancellation or interrupted stay after 18 October 2026, all of the above terms apply except those relating to the study trip.
Payment
The enrollment fee must be paid within 8 days after the invoice has been sent.
The first installment of the tuition must be paid no later than 15 June 2026.
The second installment of the tuition must be paid no later than 9 July 2026.
In case of non-payment, the school may cancel the student’s enrollment after the first payment reminder and offer the place to another student. In this case, the enrollment fee will not be refunded.
Due to higher bank transfer fees for international transfers and additional administrative procedures (for example visa applications), international students must pay the full course fee in one payment (within 14 days after the invoice is sent). All other terms remain the same.
Language of Instruction
The language of instruction is primarily Danish.
However, in some cases teaching may take place in English, when this is more appropriate for the subject matter (for example English literature) or out of consideration for international students.
This will always be balanced to ensure that the use of English does not become an obstacle for Danish students’ learning.
Cancellation of Study Trips
Rønshoved Højskole reserves the right to cancel or change trips if we, our travel agency, or partners are wholly or partly prevented from fulfilling the planned travel activities due to force majeure, such as war, natural disasters, pandemics, situations where the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against travel to the destination. This list is not exhaustive.
If this occurs and the travel activities are cancelled or changed, students cannot make claims against Rønshoved Højskole. We therefore reserve the right not to refund payments that we cannot recover from the travel agency or third parties.
However, we will always investigate whether reservations can be cancelled without cost, and any such savings will naturally benefit the student.
Valid Passport
You must always bring a valid passport during your stay at Rønshoved Højskole.
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of the study trip.
You should also check whether your passport contains visa stamps from countries that are blacklisted by the destination country or transit countries, as this may affect whether you are allowed to enter or transit through a country.
You can check this in the “Rejseklar” app from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
You are responsible for ensuring that your passport is valid for entry.
Vaccination
We always follow recommendations from the Statens Serum Institut (Danish public health authority).
We therefore recom7mend the following vaccinations:
Medical Certificate and Medicine Passport
If you take medication containing controlled substances, you must check the regulations in the country you are travelling to.
We recommend that you investigate this well in advance of departure.

Insurance During Study Trips
Students are covered by the school’s travel insurance when travelling on study trips outside Denmark.
To be covered if you have been ill before departure or have a chronic condition, you must obtain pre-approval from Gouda travel insurance.
This must be coordinated with Betina Jacobsen (betina@ronshoved.dk) no later than one month before departure.
Pre-Approval
You may apply for a pre-travel medical assessment if, within the last two months before departure, you have:
Gouda recommends applying for pre-approval no earlier than three weeks before departure.
Travel Insurance Covers
Travel insurance covers 1) illness 2) Medical repatriation 3) Emergency assistance and companion travel and 4) Personal security
Travel insurance does not cover baggage, liability insurance and accident insurance.
