Rønshoved Højskole offers a unique opportunity for the globally-minded and socially committed student who wants to explore European and Scandinavian culture and history in a different way.
At Rønshoved Højskole you live together with international students from all over Europe and indeed all over the world. Most of our students stay for one semester or for a whole year. Together you will learn about Scandinavian and European history. You will debate political issues and learn about European integration, philosophy, music and art.
Every year we visit famous cities like Berlin, Amsterdam, Prague, Copenhagen and Hamburg, and we undertake shorter visits to local sites. The school is located in one of the most historically interesting parts of Denmark close to the German border.
If you have a distant German or Scandinavian relative, this would be a great place to start your investigation. Many Scandinavians who emigrated to the U.S. in the 19th century came from this exact area. Regardless of your motivation, Rønshoved Højskole offers a different way to explore Europe and gives you the most authentic understanding of European culture and diversity.
