International politics

International politics is characterized by two opposing approaches, the liberal approach interpret, world politics as a march towards consensus and harmony, that in the future we all be alike. The other, the realist approach, interpret world politics as perpetual conflict, and believes there is no realistic hope for a global and harmonious world order. Besides these approaches, there are numerous other approaches, which we will be acquainted with throughout the course.

We will use these different approaches and apply these to different cases e.g. refugee crisis, Syrian civil war, EU etc.
