Gastronomy

Food is an important part of our lives; actually so important that we can’t live without it. Food is fuel for the brain, and it’s crucial that we eat something with much nutrition in it, so we can gain energy for the everyday life at the Folk High School. At the Gastronomy course you will learn about food and nutrition hands on. Why is it important with good kitchen hygiene, what is the difference between sauce and gravy, and how to you compose the different flavors into a nice dish? For four hours each week we will cook good and inspiring food together. We make everything from the Indian Tikka Chicken Masala to traditional Danish dishes. You don’t have to be the new Gordon Ramsay or Jamie Oliver, as long as you enjoy cooking and have the courage to engage in new food experiences.
