Rules and traditions

Everyone gets up in the morning, whether or not you have classes. Attendance to morning assemblies is obligatory. You have to be on time for morning assemblies at 9 a.m. and for dinner at 6 p.m. At dinner we have a tradition of singing before we eat, a tradition that goes back to the founding of Rønshoved Højskole in 1921. Thus, dining becomes more than just a matter of nourishment.

You also have a duty to attend classes and group meetings, help with the cleaning and kitchen duties, and common arrangements (unless you have a dispensation).

Alcohol is not part of our working days. At the weekends the students’ bar “Hulen” (the Cave) will open.

Drug abuse will end your stay at Rønshoved Højskole.
