Thue Kjærhus, headmaster

Thue (b.1954) teaches philosophy, sociology, European history, literature, history, religious history, Christianity and tennis.

Thue came to the school as principal in 2001.

Prior to that he worked asa teacher at a college, as well as being head of a leadership academy whose purpose was to educate people to be in charge of companies in the public and private sectors. 

Thue has kept his connection to business and professional management by being an advisor in Management and Organization for different college courses in leadership.

Thue is an active social commentator and a member of the widely known debating group 'Free Discussion' 


He has also found time to co-author three books in recent years. His main professional interest lies in the areas bordering history, philosophy and sociology. His core expertise is in modern Jewish history after the Napoleonic Wars.

Thue read Social Science, Psychology and History of Ideas. In the 1970s Thue was a student at the famous folk high school of Askov and also spent a number of years in Israel. 

Thue primarily maintains the ideological aspects of leadership at the school.

He is the father of Anne-Bjørg (b.1990) and Kaare (b.1992).
